Tommy's Story

As some of you may know but many do not our father, husband, and dear friend Tommy Fletcher has been diagnosed with liver cancer.

He recently had a procedure performed at Shands in Gainesville, FL to rid his liver of this tumor. He will make a return visit in the coming weeks to see if the procedure "worked". If so then it will buy him time.

His doctor put it in plain English: His cancer is like mushrooms growing in your yard after rainfall. You can pick out the mushrooms, however, when it rains again the mushrooms will return. Maybe in the same spot or somewhere else in a larger or smaller quantity. But rest assured, they will return.

The only way to stop this is with a TRANSPLANT.
Unfortunately, Tommy is a self employed painting contractor and at the time of diagnosis did not have insurance.

The transplant costs $500,000. A 10% deposit has to be put down just to receive a consultation and if approved an additional $100,000 must be paid in order to be placed on the transplant list.

The good news right now he feels fine. If we come up with the funds he will be put on the priority list because he has already received treatment and has "primary cancer".

He could have a new liver within 24 months if we can come up with the funds. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read this and any help or donation you can provide is sincerely appreciated.

Love,

The Fletchers (Tisha, Jordan, Austin, Kaytee)
